Call for abstracts

The 7th International Young Scientist Symposium on Malting, Brewing and Distilling is an ideal forum for M.Sc and PhD students and post-doc researchers to present their research alongside others in the international brewing and distilling community. In particular submissions on practical and innovative topics are encouraged. Both oral and poster presentations are welcome.



Important dates

Proposals must be submitted by March 30th 2020 and will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. A notification email will be sent by April 30th 2020. All correspondence regarding a poster or oral contribution will be made only with the presenting author, who should be registered for the conference. The presenting author must register online by May 30th 2020.



Abstract submission

For abstract submission, click the word icon to download the abstract submission file below. Please do not change the template format. Abstracts will be published as submitted. After submission, no abstract modifications will be allowed. The authors of the abstracts take full responsibility of any intellectual property issues. Please stick to the following guidelines:

  • Abstracts must be typed in English not exceeding 2000 characters and must be submitted as a Word file.
  • Type title in capital letters, use Times New Roman 14 pt.
  • The presenting author must be underlined. Type first name in full followed by family name. The names of the co-authors must also start with first name in full followed by the family names.
  • Type affiliation underneath the authors: University or Company, Institute, City, Country.
  • Add the email of the presenting author in Italics.
  • Use 1.15 line spacing and use Times New Roman 12 pt. for the abstract.

Guidelines for presentations

The presenting authors will receive a personal email with the guidelines for poster & oral presentations.
